The French Schools Cup

Europain is making room for young talent: shining the spotlight on the new generations with this artisan baking and pastry-making competition for young trainees, and promoting the transmission of knowledge. The competition will be battled out in a purpose-built space, welcoming visitors in Hall 5A. Number of teams: - 8 teams competing in the “Excellence” category

Who can take part?
This third edition of the French Schools Cup is aimed at two different levels of trainee professionals:
- The “Aspiration” category is aimed at young people undertaking level 5 training at the time of entry: Certificate of Professional Competence (CAP), post-CAP professional diploma (MC), and 1st and 2nd year students enrolled on the professional Baking and Pastry-Making baccalaureate.
- The “Excellence” category is aimed at young people undertaking level 4 training at the time of entry: vocational studies certificate (BP), vocational diplomas (BTM, BM), and final year students enrolled on the professional Baking and Pastry-Making baccalaureate.
CTrainees must be currently enrolled on training courses and be under 22 years old.
Each team must be made up of 3 people with the same training level, including at least one woman. Trainees must be accompanied by two trainers, one in baking and one in pastry-making. These trainers will form part of the judging panel.
Pre selection rounds took place on 25th november 2011. We would like to congratulate warmly all the competitors. The schools that have won pre selection rounds and will compete for the Coupe de France des Ecoles 2012 are :

Competition details :
The competition proper will last 5 hours and include 3 tasks: baking, viennoiseries and pastries.
The three best teams in each of the two categories will receive prizes.
Trainees from teams not qualifying for prizes will each receive a €20 gift voucher.
The winning team’s school will be awarded the Cup.
